On 1 and 2 June 2026, the Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences at Universitat Ramon Llull — Blanquerna hosted the second transnational meeting of the STTAIRS project. Nine months into the project, representatives from all six partner organisations came together in person to review progress, share results, and plan the next phase of work.
The meeting brought together the full STTAIRS consortium:

- SRCE — University Computing Centre, University of Zagreb (Croatia)

- Özel Anabilim Ortaokulu (Turkey)
The working sessions focused on the progress made across the project’s work packages and, in particular, on the results of WP3, led by the PSITIC research group at Blanquerna. Partners reviewed the findings of the needs assessment carried out across the five partner countries through surveys and focus groups with teachers and educational professionals. These findings offer a detailed picture of how educators currently engage with artificial intelligence in their practice and what kinds of training and support they need most. They will directly shape the design of the three STTAIRS training pathways: AI Literacy, AI-Enhanced Pedagogy, and Responsible AI Use.
The two days also provided space to explore strategies and training approaches for integrating artificial intelligence into teacher education, examining the opportunities and challenges associated with hybrid and virtual learning environments. Partners discussed the development of the project platform, the Communities of Practice, and the dissemination activities planned for the coming months.
The Barcelona meeting marks a turning point for STTAIRS. With the needs assessment complete, the work of designing and producing training resources is now fully under way.
